Reconnaissance excavation for a motor road construction project.
The project examined the structure of a Middle Bronze Age kurgan dated 2nd millennium BC. The presence and strength of
stone structures had to be established to evaluate the scope of archaeological work.
Antennas used: 90 to 180 MHz.
Ground: light damp loams.
The kurgan rests on a stone slab.
